Throughout the year, we offer a variety of competitions designed to engage players of all ages, skill levels, and preferences.
KNA are constantly exploring new formats, schedules, and ideas to ensure their association remains inclusive, enjoyable, and modern. Check below for detailed information and the latest updates on the current and upcoming competitions.
KNA Saturday Winter Competition
The Winter Competition takes place annually from late April or early May (depending on the season calendar) through to late August or early September and is open to teams of boys and girls aged 5-14yrs, girls or mixed teams for 15-18s and women's open/senior teams.
Games are played on Saturdays at either Canoon Road in South Turramurra, or Lofberg Road in West Pymble. Your team's games will be held at the same time and venue each week for consistency.
As the most formal competition of the year, wearing the official club uniform is mandatory. For players aged 10 and above, a finals series is held at the end of the season to crown the champions for each division and grade.
KNA Key Dates
9's to Seniors/Opens at Canoon Rd
Games for these age ranges are all held at Canoon Road Netball Courts.
Open to teams of boys and girls aged 9-14yrs, girls or mixed teams for 15-18s and women's open/senior teams.
Actual game times will be confirmed by KNA once registrations and grading are completed but as a guide from previous year's:
9yrs - 8:00am Inters (13 -14yrs) - 11.45am
10yrs - 8:55am Cadets Girls (15–18yrs) - 12.50pm
11yrs - 9:45am Seniors/Opens - 2.15pm and 3.40pm
12yrs - 10.40am Cadets Mixed (15–18yrs) - 3:40pm
After registrations are confirmed, the club organises grading days, if necessary, to finalise team placements. Following this, KNA will either conduct paper grading or hold a grading day to determine the final divisions for each age group.
Umpires are provided for all games and included in fees.

Net Set Go at Lofberg Rd
Our youngest netballers play at Lofberg Road Netball Courts. Open to all girls and boys turning 5 (and at or starting primary school in 2026) through to those turning 8 this year.
No experience necessary for any age group. The Net Set Go competition is played to modified rules with the focus on fun and skill development, not outcome. We help make sure that the ball reaches every player on court and position rotation rota's are mandatory. Attempts at goal not goals are marked but not recorded.
Actual game times will be confirmed by KNA once registrations and grading are completed but as a guide from previous year's:
8yrs - 8am or 9am, 7yrs - 10am or 11am, 6yrs - 12pm or 1pm
5yrs - TBC pending team numbers
We will put together teams based on age and experience but also with friends or players from the same school.
Parent / clubs "umpire" half a game each week from each team with the focus on encouragement and support.
Those turning 5 this year spend the first-half of the season in Kindy skills clinics with members from all clubs, learning the basics before starting proper games.

NEW! Saturday Cadet Mixed Comp
This season, we're excited to introduce a new Saturday Mixed Cadets Competition! The best part? You can participate in both the Girls and Mixed Cadets Competitions, as they will be scheduled at different times. Plus, you’re not required to represent the same club in both competitions—giving you more flexibility to play.

KNA All Stars
Ku-ring-gai Netball Association (KNA) runs an All Abilities Netball program on Saturday afternoons during the winter netball season.
The "KNA All Stars" is open to females and males over 14 years of age with disability (mainly intellectual).
Focus is on participation and netball skill development in an inclusive, structured, social environment.
Netball from beginner to more advanced levels is supported with the help of a number of wonderful volunteer coaches.
Each week players are able to develop skills or play in the regular competition with modified rules.
Over the season there are opportunities to socialise and play with other clubs in gala days and competitions, as well as potential pathways for Marie Little Shield and Special Olympics netball participation.
Come for a try out. It is a great way to develop skills and friendships!
Other KNA Competitions
NEW! Tuesday Indoor Comp at Barker
We are thrilled to announce that KNA has secured access to the indoor courts at Barker College for four 8-week terms in 2026.
Competitions available for Inters Mixed, Boys, Cadet Girls, Senior Mixed, Over 35's and Walking Netball, all subject to numbers.
Sessions will feature four time slots, starting from 6:00 PM.
$850 team payment (must be NNSW Registered). Umpires provided.

TERM 1 STARTS 10TH FEB FOR 8 WEEKS
Spring Comp
The Spring Competition runs mid-week from September to December, with games held at both Canoon and Lofberg Road courts.
It’s open to female and mixed teams across all age groups, starting from 9 years and up.
This is a fun and relaxed competition, perfect for playing with friends, family, or giving netball a try for the first time.
KNA also run a boy's only Spring social comp on Tuesday evenings at Canoon Road. No uniforms are required. This is social, fun and game play oriented, but also includes skills and game coaching. Ages range from U8 through to U13/14s. It's not uncommon for some U14s or U17s male rep players to also attend to mentor the younger players.

Walking Netball
In 2025, KNA launched Walking Netball, designed for both new and seasoned players.
This inclusive mixed competition offered a slower-paced game, welcoming players out of retirement, recovering from injuries, or simply seeking a gentler way to stay active. The 8-week winter season took place on Thursday nights at Canoon Road.
Walking Netball has been announced for the new Tuesday night Indoor Competition being held at Barker and Stay tuned for more Walking Netball in 2026!
Fast5 Netball
In 2025, KNA launched two exciting Fast5 competitions: one for Inters Mixed and another for Cadets to Seniors Mixed.
Games were played on a Thursday night from 5:30pm at Canoon Road starting in Term 2

Mixed Comps & Boys in Netball
Netball is one of the fastest‑growing sports for boys in Australia, and both KNA and Killara Netball Club are trying to ensure we can keep up with that momentum!
We’re committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment where boys can learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the excitement of the great sport that is Netball.
Boys are welcome in all our mixed teams from U6 through to Inters, playing in the KNA Winter Competition - we are also launching a new Saturday Cadets Mixed Comp this year (see above) and there a boys only comp has been announced for the new Tuesday night Indoor Competition being held at Barker
Whether your son is just starting out or looking for a pathway to higher‑level competition, we offer multiple opportunities throughout the year.
KNA also runs a dedicated boys spring comp and has a successful boys representative program.
